I’ve post most of my hate entries on stupidhate.com.  AT&T sucks ass.

T-Mobile G1 is Android-licious

September 23rd, 2008

Ok. I’d be lying if I said I liked the way this phone looks (especially compared to the iPhone or Bold).  The software though, that’s something else.  You can get more info on it at Google’s Mobile Site.  This thing is pretty bad ass.  See the video demo for it and you’ll see why the Maps feature kicks everything else’s ass.  The mini top bar notification is great as well.  It’s clean and unobtrusive.  Also the fact that you can build nice little unlock and tethering apps unlike some other fruit companies is pretty awesome.  Oh, and it’s $399 for a contract free version with unlocking abilities after 3 months.  hmm.  I want one but I think I’ll wait for one with a more aesthetically pleasing exterior.

Twitter related news

September 19th, 2008

I was way too tired last night to blog about this.  Right before I passed out I checked my reader and found several news items about Twitter.  There’s a lot of interesting items in this space.  I’ll just link them instead of summarizing.  Much easier.

Gospelr.  Twitter for Christians (via techcrunch)

Summizer: Twitter search made easy on the iPhone (via MobileCrunch)

Twitterkeys (via Digg)

Twitter Redesign (via Mashable!)

Edmondo is a Twitter for Education

My quick take:  Will these Twitter like apps and services stick around or is this more of a fad.  I’ve tried Jaiku, Yammer, and Friendfeed before but I always end up back at Twitter because it already has an established base and I don’t see the benefits of moving to something else.  I wonder what the landscape for these services will be like in 6 months.
