I was on the fence on either taking Virgin America or JetBlue this time around to LA. I like the idea of having wifi on my flight but really hate LAX. I picked JetBlue because of the BetaBlue service. BetaBlue is suppose to give you access to Amazon, Gmail, Yahoo Mail & Messenger, and Blackberry support. I was sold. What I ended up with was frustration. BetaBlue gives you access to GMail’s mobile version. You can view it normal mode but it really doesn’t help because the service is really, really slow, like 28.8k slow. Yahoo Messenger failed to open, probably due to the speed as well. I didn’t even want to try Amazon at this point. As much as I hate LAX, I might have to try Virgin next time.
