ImageWell

One of those things I seriously hate doing is firing up Photoshop to edit some stupid ass picture.  Yes, I know there are plenty of software out there (free and commercial) that can do lightweight photo editing but you know what?  I don’t like any of them either A) I’m biased for no good reason, B) I hate learning new software because I’m lazy, C) I’m used to tried and true and never really gave a chance for new software to shine.  Well, the tides have turned and today I’m using ImageWell.  I’ve heard of this lightweight photo-editor before but never really gave it a chance.  An article over at TUAW announcing v3.5 and that they use it there for their blog as well.  I decided to give it a shot.  The operations are insanely easy and does all the things I need to do quick!  It has a small footprint so you can keep your RAM in check.  It also has a nifty upload tool to get your images to your server quickly (or if you prefer, a folder on your local).  I implore everyone who hates firing up PS for stupid little chores and tasks to give this wonderful bundle of code a shot.  If you like it, buy it!  I know I will.
